Herb Shares

This year’s Monthly Herbal Care Packages will be curated by Nicole and Amy.

Registration for 2020 Herbshare membership is open!
Our first Herbal Care Package is offered May 24th!

Community Supported Apothecary
Members of Community Supported Apothecary invest in local growers and herbalists to both grow and craft preparations that empower local, herbal home healthcare and education.  Members purchase a share at the onset of the season and receive a monthly care package.  The herbs that we cannot grow ourselves will be purchased from organic and ethically wildcrafted sources. We hope to increase our homegrown herbs over time.

What’s in an Herb Share?
Herbal Goodies:
Each month members come to the farm and fill their basket with a minimum of 5 hand-crafted herbal preparations; may include teas, spices, truffles, bath and body care, spritzers, cleaners, sachets, fresh and dried bundles and more.  Some preparations will only be available seasonally and in limited supply, and others will remain available at pick-up every month.
Education:
We include educational guides on product use and virtues. Nicole will be at pick-up to share the stories, benefits, and guidelines for use of each preparation, and to answer your questions. In addition, share members get discounted registration fees for herbal classes and “craftshops” at Heartbeat, led by Nicole and Amy and other local herbalists. See “Your Kitchen Apothecary” for the schedule.

How Does Pick-up Work?
The last week of every month, members come to the farm  to pick up their Herbal Care Package (dates TBA) . We will have a diversity of options available, and members can choose which products they most want for themselves and their households for the coming month.  We encourage you to linger, and take a tour of the gardens. You can bring your family and friends. It’s a celebration of the gifts from this living landscape!
